Historically the Alcatel-Lucent Inside Ride event has raised over $368,000 for childhood cancer charities in the Ottawa Area.

For 2016, the 9th year of this amazing partnership, Coast to Coast Against Cancer and the newly minted Nokia (formerly Alcatel Lucent) have set in motion a plan that will exclusively benefit Candlelighters Ottawa childhood cancer support programs.
A new five-year, $1 million, fundraising goal will see Nokia sponsor a week long series of Inside Ride events yearly that will include minimum four area secondary school events and their own supersized, 100 team event. This year The Inside Ride Ottawa Region – presented by Nokia will take place May 9th to 13th. Supporting events will take place at Nokia year round.
The third member of this partnership is Candlelighters, a grassroots charity that provides support programs and services to young cancer patients and their families in the Ottawa area. Some of the programs offered by Candlelighters include The CyberKids Program, Hospital Support, Parking Program, Financial Support and a Bereavement Support Group.

The infrastructure and event platform at Coast to Coast allows the logistics and execution for the events. Thanks to the generosity of Nokia, all of the administrative and event fees are covered. Together we will ensure that 100% of the funds raised in the next 5 years will benefit the kids and families in the Ottawa region who are living with and beyond cancer
