A big week for The Inside Ride in the Ottawa region!
Last week, Nokia & The Inside Ride team in Ottawa were all over place with four events over the span of three days!
The busy week kicked off on Monday with trips to both Mother Teresa High School and St. Matthew High School to launch their 2017 Inside Rides and the students were PUMPED. Both schools have hosted Inside Rides in the past and were able to raise a lot of money for kids fighting cancer in the Ottawa region- but we know these amazing students can turn it up to a notch for 2017!
Two other Ottawa area schools were in action last week as well, hosting their 2017 Inside Rides. Both Elmwood School and Brookfield High School were out in full force and the school spirit shown was off the charts! With costumes ranging anywhere from Scooby-Doo and “Guess Who?” to giant birds and scarecrows, the creativity of these students was in full effect and took their Inside Rides to the next level. While we can’t say enough about their creativity, the fundraising these students put on was even more spectacular. Combined, Elmwood and Brookfield were able to raise over $20,000 for Candlelighters Ottawa! A big congratulations is due to the students of these two schools, as the money they raised will go a long way in making a difference in the lives of children and teens fighting cancer in Ottawa!
While these Ottawa area high schools were doing their amazing fundraising, Nokia was baking up their own fundraisers for Candlelighters! Last week, Nokia Ottawa hosted its annual Cake Walk where employees purchased raffle tickets to try to some delicious desserts. Check out some of the masterpieces below!
